I am so very sorry that I missed this and the most recent challenges. It is appallingly that you were tone policed and not supported. I will try to do better and be more vigilant for what needs to be called out. I am happy for anyone reading this to draw my attention to things that I may miss otherwise.

People need to understand that this is not differences of opinion but a clear divide between respect and hate. Anything that isn't actively anti-tranaphobic, supports cisnormativity and cis sexism. The myth of the polite, correctly toned and delivered call out, is exactly that - a myth. I have sent many polite messages to people about transphobia, fatphobia, shaming etc. The violence and/or hostility in responses has always surprised me because I have continued to hope for people being reasonable. I do not understand why they act the way that they do. I utterly respect your decision to step away. I am sorry that you have been forced to that decision. I know that my experience is a tiny speck in comparison to yours and I wish you had not had to experience any of it. We, as a community, and me as myself personally, have lost so much by your leaving. I will continue to do better and to learn from my mistakes.
