Black and white art is so underrated! When I was a kid I used to watch a lot of old time movies, especially film noir. Sunset Boulevard, Shadow of a Doubt, The Third Man, Stray Dog, there was something about the lighting, the atmosphere, the environments and shadows that really drew me in. I had the same feeling with Sin City, only it was a lot sexier. I remember being completely blown away by how Frank Miller captured those same stunning visuals as film noir, hyper-stylizing them, while also featuring all of these absolutely fucking stunning, badass women that often just completely overshadowed the men in even their own stories.
Once I saw that one of my favourite artists, Fahstine, offered black and white commissions, and that their style evoked that same badass, sexy, film noir vibe I’d always loved, I just had to get some of my fave femme characters done. So, here are the first few of my gals, Chapel and Alba, looking hot as fuck and real fucking cool all at once. I can’t wait to get more!
Treat yourself to your own Fahstine commission from their Telegram channel or by messaging them on Insta!
