What does own voices mean? In the context of this collection of stories it means affirming and exhilarating pieces that centre IndigiQueer, trans, nonbinary, and gender diverse characters, from authors who self-identify as such themselves. In other words, gender diverse authors writing hot smut about gender diverse characters. So, if this sounds like you, please consider submitting something!
Overall I’m looking for genre/speculative fiction pieces that truly celebrate gender diversity, non-traditional relationship structures, uninhibited queer sex, bodies, pleasure, and kink. I’m looking for pieces that are fun, uplifting, engaging, creative, and exciting.
And lewd! Like, very, very lewd. Go hard with the lewdness.
Stories should very clearly and obviously feature trans and gender diverse characters at the core of your narrative. All identities under the umbrella, including trans feminine, trans masculine, nonbinary, genderqueer, genderfluid, demigender, and agender individuals, among others, are welcome!
I’m certainly open to considering reprints of stories you’ve posted on your blog, or in other mediums before, however, I’d prefer new, unpublished works. Up to two submissions per author, of stories between 2,500 to 4,000 words, will be considered, but I’m not accepting simultaneous submissions at this time.
[For those who may not understand what this means, simultaneous submissions refer to any stories that are currently being considered for publications elsewhere as well.]
I’m mostly looking for speculative fiction, including the supernatural, fantastical, futuristic, and otherwise imaginative tales, will be considered. Go ahead and experiment! I want to read erotica that’s not afraid to explore and challenge genre.
All characters in your submitted story must be aged 18 or older. I will absolutely not be considering any pieces that contain any descriptions of, including fantasies related to, sexual activity with, or between, minors. Additionally, no stories containing themes or acts of incest, beastiality, necrophilia, or sexual assault/consent violations, will be accepted.
Furthermore, while I understand that our community faces a great deal of adversity and that these things are sadly a part of many of our journeys and narratives, I really want this collection to be escapism from that for any gender diverse readers that pick it up. So, while you don’t have to refrain from all forms of adversity I’d like to request that your submissions please avoid any detailed, intense descriptions of homophobic, transphobic, racist, ableist, or otherwise bigoted, violence or abuse.
