Happy Pride month, all! This year I’ve been really investing a lot into my self-expression, especially in terms of buying clothing and generally following through with transition related goals that bring me the most joy and affirmation in who I am. As a part of this I’ve also been leaning more and more into being a furry.
While this isn’t something new for me, as I’ve been one for as long as I can remember, I’ve always kept it at bay out embarassment and anxiety. Between people hating on furries in general, and conservatives jumping to wild conclusions about it being a sign of unethical and deplorable sexual deviancy, I’ve been afraid to just enjoy being one in any visible sort of way.
Which is a shame because being a furry is what actually gave me the space to explore my identity in the first place! It was through my first fursona, Snowfall, that I really gave myself the permission to consider what my gender identity, expression, and sexual orientation meant to me. And in recent years it’s been though Earl Grey (my sad boy opossum), and most recently Malbec (my edgy gay collie), that I’ve been able to further consider my queer masculinity and gender fluidity while taking estrogen.
To really celebrate my efforts to embrace being a furry I once again commissioned my friend wolfbugg to do some lewd art of Grey!

I love everything about it! It’s cute, playful, the expression of shyness and mixed with excitement. The dripping cock, complete with the details of the vein and head, is perfect. I also really like the droop in their ears to show how demure they’re feeling, but the glance they’re giving is still VERY wanting. All these qualities perfectly encapsulate the essence of Grey, and what they represent as my headmate Cal’s official fursona.
Be sure to follow wolf.bugg on instagram, and PLEASE consider commissioning him if you can! He’s really great doing business and socializing with!
As for me, keep checking back here for more content and be sure to connect with me on Bluesky if you haven’t yet! I’m currently hard at work writing my next book, Carry On: Unpacking Your Internalized Transphobic and Queerphobic Baggage, and I’ll next be fursuiting at Fur-Eh in Edmonton this upcoming July.
